DAVID A. MAGNESS, age 42 years, of Whiteford, Maryland died of cancer on Thursday, August 25, 2005 at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
He had been the husband of Sandy D. (Mink) Magness for over seventeen years. Mr. Magness was born on May 18, 1963 in Baltimore, Maryland; a son of Reed and Barbara S. (Swain) Magness of Fallston, Maryland. David was a member of Slateville Presbyterian Church where he had served as a trustee.
He owned and operated the Jennabird Company from his home so he could spend more time with his son and daughter. He was an avid outdoorsman and environmentalist and was well known for his knowledge of the Eastern Bluebird. David was a volunteer and educator at Eden Mill Nature Center. He was member and on the board of directors of the Maryland Bluebird Society and the North American Bluebird Society.
